With a chauffeur inside. (Who did a little walk-by my window after he noticed me taking photographs.)

That's pretty nice. I haven't seen those outside car shows. The guy who the driver was waiting must a really lucky guy.
I do prefer the SWB model though.

I am! Just need to not do that with a tele-lens I guess.. Made the driver a bit suspicious.
I totally feel like a paparazzo

Netherlands? I know I've seen this train logo somewhere. Badass car by the way. Love the color, and that is hands down one of the best ways to get around.

Dutch plates I think but oddly it's an American spec car with side marker lights.

If I saw one of these on the street I'd probably faint.

If that's already a shitload of bike to you I know you're not Dutch yourself.

Running the plates has taught me it was imported into the Netherlands in 1998, when the car was 27 years old. No idea where it came from though, but you're probably correct it's US spec with those odd lights.

Heh, you got me. I visited in '98, arriving in Amsterdam on the night Bergkamp scored that winner against the Argies. Good times.

I have to say that I kept looking over to it the entire 40 minutes it was sitting there. (After I took some photographs of course!)

I've driven an SWB a short distance, same colour even. It's Walter Wolf 's.
He does retain two special cars, a Diablo which he says is, "still a car that you have to drive." The other is a Mercedes-Benz 600 limousine which was with him on that glorious day when Wolf Racing won at Monaco.
Unfortunately, at the time I had no idea who he was. or exactly how special a 600 is.
